Goncheh Ghavami una británica-iraní de 26 años fue arrestada en Irán en junio del 2014 por protestar pidiendo igual acceso para las mujeres a los eventos deportivos. Fue arrestada luego que intentara asistir a un partido de voleibol en el estadio Azadi Indoor de Teherán. Fueron cursadas peticiones internacionales para que fuera liberada hasta que lo fue el 31 de marzo del 2015. Su hermano Iman Ghavami publicó la noticia [1] en petition.org, donde muchos habían firmado pidiendo su liberación [2].

Today I can tell you that Ghoncheh is free! As we were celebrating Iranian New year, Iranian Government wiped out the rest of my sister's sentence. Ghoncheh will not have to spend another day, another hour in prison.
This is amazing news and I wanted you to hear from me directly. You stood by us during those difficult months. You gave my family courage and hope. The uncertainty of autumn and the dark clouds of winter have gone. And the sun once again is shining for my family. Spring is here.
My mum has finally become her old happy self and has found peace again. My mum and I will not forget your generous support and thank you sincerely. Together we brought Ghoncheh home. Ghoncheh also asked me to thank you all for your support.
This has been the best spring for my family. Hopefully this spring brings happiness and peace to all Iranians and all of you.

31 de marzo 2015 — Tengo grandes noticias para ustedes.¡Hoy puedo decirles que Ghoncheh está libre! Mientras estábamos celebrando el Año Nuevo iraní el gobierno anuló el resto de la pena de mi hermana. Ghoncheh no tendrá que pasar otro día, otra hora en la cárcel.
Esta es una noticia increíble y quería que ustedes la oyeran directamente de mi. Ustedes estuvieron con nosotros durante estos difíciles meses, ustedes le dieron a mi familia valor y esperanza. La incertidumbre del otoño y las oscuras nubes del invierno se han ido y el sol una vez mas está brillando para mi familia. La primavera llegó.
Mi madre ha vuelto a ser feliz y ha encontrado nuevamente la paz. Mi madre no olvidará vuestro generoso apoyo y se los agradece sinceramente. Todos trajimos a Ghoncheh de vuelta a casa. Ghoncheh me pide igualmente agradecerles a todos ustedes por su apoyo.
Esta ha sido la mejor primavera para mi familia. Espero que esta primavera traiga felicidad y paz a todos los iranís y a todos ustedes.
